1. Tell us about yourself

I’m a 24-year-old doctor of chiropractic and healthy lifestyle blogger. I was born and raised in San Diego and am a sun and ocean lover through and through. I love trying new things and always being outdoors. Health and wellness is my passion, and teaching people about living their 100-year lifestyle!

2. How did you become interested in fitness

I have been an athlete my whole life, but when I was in high school I kept getting horrible migraine headaches which held me back from competing. When I was 15, I went to the chiropractor for the first time, and after getting under regular care, I haven’t had a migraine since. Chiropractic allowed me to continue my active lifestyle and even led me to teach my own fitness classes!

3. What is your favourite social media platform

Instagram by far! It’s such a great platform to build community and connect with people.

4. One fitness rule you never break

Never miss a Monday.

5. What is your favourite workout?

My favorite workout is plank! There are so many variations you can do and it challenges your entire body.

6. Describe your personal style and who influenced you to pursue fitness

I would describe my style as on trend and relaxed. Kayla Itsines of Bikini Body Guide (BBG) is the one who really got me into fitness, especially on a routine. I have been doing her 3x/week workouts for almost 3 years now and love them so much! She’s such an inspiration for living a healthy and balanced lifestyle all while staying incredibly humble.

7. One diet plan you love the most

The whole food diet. I’ve tried every diet under the sun – paleo, pescatarian, vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, keto, etc. and I think we’ve complicated the world of nutrition and diets way too much. What I’ve learned from it all is that each body is different. What matters is that you find what works for your body. It doesn’t have to be stressful or overwhelming. Start simplifying the crazy world of food and nutrition by eating real balanced food. “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.” – Michael Pollan

8. What’s the one thing you must have with you all the time

My phone. I’m a millennial, what can I say?

9. What advice do you want to give to other fitness enthusiasts

It’s about progress, not perfection.

10. 3 staples you want to carry for your next trip

Beautycounter’s Rosewater Mist – it’s amazing and super refreshing especially on long flights, my bkr glass water bottle, and my iPhone. I would honestly (and literally) be lost without saving offline maps on my phone when travelling abroad without service. Plus, it serves as my camera!

11. One exercise you always skip

I always seem to skip back exercises. Not because I dislike them, but because I always forget!

12. One thing you buy very often

Coffee! I have a cup of coffee almost every day and I typically make my own at home, but I really love a good espresso with friends at a cute little coffee shop.

13. What is your favourite workout outfit

I love Lululemon, but with the high ticket price, I only own a handful of items. I like keeping things simple while working out and always wear sleeveless.

14. One Body part you dedicate the most time working out

My legs. I love/hate plyometric exercises like jump squats, burpees, and jump lunges because they tone your legs fast.

15. What is that one thing you would do if you have all the money and resources to do it

Travel the world and never stop.
