How To Style

My guest had fine hair but a lot of it. I asked her to come in with clean dry hair, as I usually do with updos. I used hot sets by Redken to curl everything with a 1 1/4 “iron. Then I took a section from the top of the head behind the ears to the nape and put in a low ponytail leaving the front two sections out. I loosely knotted the ponytail and pinned it in a low knotted chignon. then I took sections from in front of the ears and went side to side arranging them around the ponytail. In various knots and braids. I also used Kevin Murphy Bedroom hairspray for texture and Kevin Murphy Shimmer Shine for shine and then finished it off with Redken Control Addict hairspray to keep it in place. I like it because it is a dry firm spray.

Recommended Products

Redken Control Addict hairspray.

This style is very versatile and can be adjusted to suit any face shape because you can Taylor the way you put up the front. It is also a great updo for people with a lot of hair because it offsets the weight of the hair for more comfort. I love it because you can really use the basic principles and customize it to suit any face shape or occasion. You can use this with bangs, or more curls for a more formal look.

How To Style

This hairstyle is achievable on long hair below shoulders, I pre-curled the hair and brushed it out to give me a softly textured wave, to start I sectioned hair across from the top of ear to ear and pulled into a secure low ponytail. With the remaining hair, I tease through the crown area to create volume, using my fingers to create the texture I comb it back and secure into the original ponytail with bobby pins twisting the side back into the ponytail. Once secure I split the ponytail into 2 sections and twist together into a rope formation. I then twist into the bun shape and secure with bobby pins. To make the bun look more textured, I then pull out and loosen the bun.

Recommended Products

I used to create this bun Paul Mitchell invisible wear dry texture spray, eco hair project hairspray, and a shine spray to finish.

I used a one-inch curling iron and wrapped the hair on medium-high heat. I gave her a fishtail braid starting at the front, leaving some hair out where her bangs were. I teased her crown area and pinned half up to give her some volume and then pinned the braid around to the other side of her head. I used the remaining hair to pin up into a loose bun and sprayed it Using Moroccan oil heavy hairspray.

Best Face Shape and Hair Type

This hairstyle works on so many face shapes. If you have a round face you can pull it tighter in the sides or if you have an oval/oblong face shape you can pull some pieces from the sides and front to soften the look! I would recommend this look for anyone with thick hair. It’s helpful to have a lot of hair to make the braid and bun look full. There are definitely variations of it that could work for fine hair as well, it may just not have the exact same outcome.

This look is pretty simple. I parted my hair down the middle. Put each side up in piggy tails. Twisted each piggy tail and used my thumb and index finger to pull/loosen some of the pieces and then wrapped it around the base. Used a clear band to secure in place and few bobby pins to hold in problem areas. I then pulled out some pieces around my face to make the look a little more messy.

I used Ion Hair Spray but you can use any light weight hair spray. You can also use a texturing wax spray as well.

This hairstyle was achieved using a natural hair extension that is quite similar to that of the model’s hair type. The hair extension was used to form a roll and pin style at the nape of her neck, some were twisted loosely and tightly, overlapped and pinned to her hair. This twisting was done throughout the remaining part of her hair.

Recommended Products

We recommend a spray bottle containing water or a very good leave- in conditioner, eco styler gel to sleek down hair and edges. We also recommend a good hair finishing spray.

Best Face Shape and Hair Type

The beautiful thing about this hairstyle is that it suits all face shape and all hair types (as long as the natural hair extension similar to the hair type can be gotten).

This style was achieved by taking a diagonal section from the top of the ears over the crown. The hair at the back was sectioned into two ponytails, secured with two hair elastics and then braided. The braids were then pulled out to thicken them and wrapped around the ponytails to create a bun and secured with grips. The two remaining sections to the front were braided, pulled out to thicken, and wrapped over the top of the bun to finish.

Recommended Products

The products used to help create this style were PUFF ME volumising powder to pull out and thicken the braids and Kenra design spray and volume spray to finish.

Best Face Shape and Hair Type

The style can be suitable for any face shape as hair can be pulled out to soften around the face to suit and flatter any shape My client had quite thin hair naturally and she was amazed at how full her hair looked after the braids were pulled out. It would look incredible on thicker hair too.

How To Style

I actually achieved this style without curling the hair! The bun portion is made up of multiple twisted strands that are then pulled apart to make them appear as if they are curled. It’s a real time saver! Then added the braids on each side of the hair and pinned. I used Kenra Dry Wax spray to give it enough texture to all stay together when creating the “curled” look. I also used Kenra Air Grip Hairspray throughout the entire style. What’s great about this style is it is very versatile.

Recommended Products

I’d recommend doing this style on hair that is longer than shoulder length, to ensure it all stays together.

Best Face Shape and Hair Type

It can be adjusted for any face shape simply by pulling hair out around the face to make the style softer or keeping all the hair up around the face.

How To Style

First, part your hair in the middle and make two sections into it. Second, start with the first section. Split it into three strands starting on the nape area of your neck. Third, do an “inside-out” French braid and work your way around the side of your head. Keep the braid nice and tight. Fourth, work across the top of your forehead until you finish the braid. Secure it with elastic band. Fifth, take the opposite side of your hair in hand and instead of starting from the bottom, start on top of your head finishing near the nape area of your neck securing the braid with an elastic band. Lastly, create the crown by pinning the last braid on the first braid using a bobby pin. Do the same on the first braid by pinning the end of it over the second braid using a bobby pin. That’s how to achieve a crown braid.

Recommended Products

For me, I do not use fancy products. Particularly on this hairstyle I only used elastic band and bobby pins. But I do recommend you also use a nice hairspray, what ever your comfortable with, just to keep those baby hairs in place for a more nice and clean finish.

Best Face Shape and Hair Type

My face shape is a heart shaped one, and this hairstyle looks great on me. If your face shape is oval this hairstyle will also look good on because it gives more frame to your face.

I achieved this hairstyle by creating 4 quadrants. I separated the hair first from Front to back, connecting at the ears(the mastoid process). I then split the back from occipital bone for a top and bottom section. (to separate the crown and nape).I created 3 braids in the nape. I used a traditional 3 strand braid and 2 fishtail braids. and back brushed the top section.I then Formed the shape with the back brushing to create height and smoothed it down for the sleek top. I pinned the top and left the ends for a base to pin the braids into. I then wrapped the braids around the nape and pinned them down. I braided each side front section to marry with the back. I pulled apart each braid to make them. The client provided the hair jewels and I pinned them strategically for added fun! Larger.

How To Style

Messy hair bun is a perfect solution for 2-3 days after you washed your head. To make a messy small hair bun, you need to take strands of front hair and tie them into a ponytail with a hairband. Don’t worry about combing it or tidying it up, we want it to look messy! If needed, pull on your ponytail unevenly, so that it creates a messy effect. Once that’s ready, take the tail and wind it around the band to make a bun. Use bobby pins to secure the bun and you’re ready to go!

Recommended Products

You’ll need 1-2 bobby pins to secure the bun. As for the hair products, I use Argan Oil of Morocco shampoo to soften my hair, which is usually dry from being dyed so many times.

Best Face Shape and Hair Type

This hairstyle is perfect for round-shaped face because, with the bun on top of your head, it makes it look a tad longer, giving your face an oval shape.
